In this sequence you can see
the rotation of Jupiter filmed
as Voyager approached the giant
planet. The small dot that
comes speeding in on the left
is one of the many moons
of Jupiter.
Even though the planet is 10
times the diameter of Earth, it
rotates much faster. A Jovian
day being only about 10 hours
long. Because of this, the planet
is actually "squashed" a bit at
the poles.
